Let’s talk the cost of groceries in Tirana Albania!

Processed food here is more expensive than fresh foods here.

A large loaf of fresh cooked sourdough bread at a bakery is 170 lek. ($2.15)

A few potatoes and one tomato cost me 70 lek ($0.88) at a produce stall.

Ice cream cone or in a cup is about 70 lek as well.

A large slice of pizza sold at a nearby pizza stall is 150 lek ($1.89).

Bottled water 0.5L is 35 lek ($0.44).

The way to eat cheaply here is to visit cafes or stalls that sell food to take away (pizza, sandwiches, gyros, etc). These meals will cost 150 lek to 600 lek or $2 to $8 per meal.

Most of the day trip excurions cost between $25 to $50 USD.
