Montenegro – Day Trip

What started out as a 2.5 hr day trip from Shkoder to Budva, Montenegro turned into a 6 hour wild fire, car wreck and traffic nightmare.

The picture above shows the two lane highway all the way.

It got so bad that our host, Claudia, started doing Albanian dance lessons on the bus. Dont worry the bus was not moving, it was parked on the highway and the driver went out for a smoke.

Once we got there it was hot and humid but historic.

I got lost in the maze-like structure getting to this old church.

Then the rain hit hard.

Heading back, it is supposed to be a 2.5 hr drive to Shkoder but who knows? I am just glad I get off in Shkoder, most of the people had 2.5 hours more to Tirana or beyond.
