Riga, Latvia – Day 1

Got up early to take the 9 am bus from Tallinn, Estonia to Riga, Latvia. It is a 4.5 hour bus ride but the bus has nice comfy seats.

The entire 4 hour drive, you will see one of two things out the window. Rapeseed fields pictured below.

After arriving and checking in, our first stop was the Art Museum RIGA BOURSE.

Around the back from the BOURSE are the 3 brother buildings, these are the oldest buildings in Riga and they show the evolutionary changes happening over time.

Next stop was St. James Church.

After that church we headed into Riga Cathedral, the church at the square.

There is a huge courtyard within the church grounds and there are various artists painting sections of the church. There is also a very large garden with many scented flowers blooming filling the courtyard with flowery scents.

Finished the day at Fuego. A place that serves wood-fired pizzas. Food was great.
