Tallinn – Day 3

Today was museum day and coincidently it was cold and rainy so a great time to be indoors for most of the day. First stop, Kumu Art Museum featuring contemporary art to art from the Dutch Golden Age and beyond.

There is a VR exhibit that we don’t have words for as it’s more of a psychedelic trip than anything else.

The lower level has newer local artist with an entirely different style of art.

A short walk from the Kumu is this gorgeous place called, Kadiorg Palace Art Museum. The gardens were amazing but the house has secrets all of its own.

Our next stop was an Uber ride across town to the Fotografiska museum featuring the works of Inta Ruka. Very nice photography although the image below is not from Inta.

Near the Fotografiska museum was Van Gogh Visual Museum and we just had to drop by. The immersive multi-dimensional exhibits were a delight to see and experience.

After four museums, cold and rainy weather, we were ready for some grub and this place’s greasy American style food called out to us for comfort. I had a Philly cheesecake and she had fish and chips. Our stomach’s paid the tab later.

Our day finished with dinner at an Indian Restaurant here in Tallinn and this guy who had gone AWOL for the past 24 hours showed up to join us.
