Vienna – Day 6 homer, August 3, 2026 Why build one museum called Albertina when you can build two? Today I spent the day at the two Albertina museums and no, they are NOT in the same building. The Albertina Modern museum is the smaller of the two and feature more modern art. Like all museums here, it’s a nice building but there are RATS in the building. I have photo proof down below! You have been warned! Here is the RATS section. More rats. And you can see two rats below. These images below were the most interesting thing I’ve seen explaining art in a long time. It shows the philosophy on the evolution of art and how humans have perceived the world over time. Zoom in on the image to read the art philosophers view. Stunning imagery. Looks just like the Vienna subway! Actually, I wish the train cars had more art in them, the train cars are so boring for such a fascinating art city. I’d like to see Mozart played on the train and art on the chairs, walls, and even the windows as line art. So many possibilities such a lazy city. Here is the other Albertina museum, the proof is in the tiny lettering at the top of the building that you can barely read. Serious art so I put on my serious face. The museum has art from the masters Picasso, Matisse, Renoir, and more but I’m not going to post pictures of those masterpieces because you really should come to Vienna to see them otherwise just google them. Photography section. The basement is dedicated to famous photographer Richard Prince. The guy had a prolific portfolio. But best known for the cowboy photos for Marlboro. Tomorrow is a rest day as I’m transition on Wednesday to a new country so I may or may not post. I will be packing and resting. Vienna 2026
