Helsinki – Day 3

Boarded a ferry to Suomenlinna Sea Fortress.

After a 20 minute ride we landed!

Amazing Orthodox church but it was closed.

Towering doors made of copper, cool to the touch but warm to the soul.

How do you like them big cannons?

How do you like that big bell?

It took a while to get to the Kings Gate (background) and we opted to take a ferry from here back to Helsinki rather than walk back.

After spending most of the day at the fort it was time to return to mundane tasks like laundry.

Everything here is app automated and cash is shunned in most places.

Gor dinner we went to Dragon Phoenix near out hotel but the food was too bland for my tastes despite requesting spicey.

We heard the drum beat and singing so we headed back to SUPERTERASI and found a show in progress.

Sweet ending all around.
