Vienna – Day 2 homer, July 30, 2026July 30, 2026 It’s been 15 days of non-stop travel, museum visits and other activities and it’s starting to get me tired. I am going to slow it down tomorrow since I have concert tickets for Mozart so late wake up, late breakfast, and enjoy the music. Today however I took the subway to KHM. KHM is one of the nicest buildings in Vienna. The featured artists were Canaletto & Bellotto! Amazing works of art from hundreds of years ago before AI, digital graphics, or photography. I had lunch at the cafe and this was the view when I looked up. Took the bus to Upper Belvedere but there were long lines and too much heat & humidity so I went to the Garden instead. The grounds of the Upper Belvedere. I’ll try to make out before I leave if it cools off a bit. There is a private botanical garden and a public park, I chose the public one because the private seemed to have few flowers blooming. Spring is over and the heat is making it miserable for plants and trees as well as humans. These were some of the few flowers blooming in the whole park. Bamboo forest inside the park. After the garden, I went and got a massage for my sore legs and back. Felt like a new human right after! Sitting at a restaurant I saw the bus I ride frequently go by, it’s the 74A bus from Stubentor U bus stop. And my dinner for today. This place, Schnitzel Konig Wien had 933 4.5 star reviews. The food was ok. The breading had little to no seasoning and quite bland but I think that’s how they like food here. Vienna 2026
